Azerbaijan, Pakistan discuss prospects for expanding military cooperation

Islamabad, November 16, AZERTAC Azerbaijan and Pakistan have discussed prospects for expanding the bilateral cooperation in military field as Ambassador Ali Alizade met with Chief of General Staff of the Pakistani Armed Forces Zubair Mahmood Hayat. They highlighted the necessity of resolving the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh and Kashmir issues on the basis of UN resolutions, strengthening the military-technical cooperation between the armed forces of Azerbaijan and Pakistan as well as increasing the experience exchange and implementing new joint projects. Hayat condemned the latest provocations the Armenian aggressors periodically commit against Azerbaijan. The Pakistani Chief of General Staff said that innocent people were continuously killed as a result of the Nagorno-Karabakh and the Kashmir problem. He reaffirmed Pakistan`s continued support for Azerbaijan on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Chief of General Staff Hayat’s expected visit to Azerbaijan was also discussed, and he said the expansion of cooperation between the armed forces of the two countries will be high on the agenda during discussions.
