Azerbaijan-Pakistan working group convenes in Baku

Baku, January 17, AZERTAC The 8th Working Group Level Meeting between Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Defense and the Joint Staff of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan has kicked off in Baku. According to Azerbaijan`s Defense Ministry, Chief of the International Military Cooperation Department Huseyn Mahmudov chairs the working group on behalf of Azerbaijan, while Director General of Foreign Military Cooperation of the Joint Staff Headquarters Muhammad Shafig is a co-chair on behalf of Pakistan. During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state and prospects for developing military cooperation, regional security issues, the strengthening of friendly ties between the armies of the two states, and the plan of joint events for 2018.
