Azerbaijan, Poland conduct consultations in Warsaw

Baku, February 17 (AzerTAc). The Azerbaijani-Polish intergovernmental consultations have been held in Warsaw. Azerbaijan was represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov and Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry Niyazi Safarov, Azerbaijan’s embassy in Poland said. The sides discussed issues of development of relations in the political, economic and humanitarian spheres, and regional processes. They also discussed preparations for the next meeting of the intergovernmental commission on bilateral cooperation in Baku. A roundtable discussion on economic cooperation was also held involving representatives of more than 40 companies in Poland. Deputy Minister Safarov highlighted the Azerbaijani government`s attention to ensuring business environment, implementing economic development programs and the activities of foreign companies in Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijan Investment and Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) held a presentation on the country`s economic potential as part of the event. Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Poland Hasan Hasanov was also present at the meetings.
