Azerbaijan, Slovenia hold political consultations

Baku, June 9, AZERTAC Azerbaijan`s Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov and Slovenian Secretary of State, Deputy Foreign Minister Darja Bavdaž Kuret have conducted political consultations. They discussed the development of bilateral relations in the fields of trade, industry, agriculture, transport, communication, ICT, culture and tourism. Khalafov spoke of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and stressed the necessity of changing status quo and ensuring the withdrawal of the Armenian armed forces from the occupied territories of Azerbaijan. Kuret hailed Azerbaijan-Slovenia relations. She noted the necessity of strengthening energy cooperation, business and people-to-people contacts. “Slovenia praises peace and stability in Azerbaijan, and this is in the EU`s interest,” Kuret added.
