Azerbaijan is a strategic ally of Montenegro, FM Darmanovic says

Baku, November 3, AZERTAC “Azerbaijan is Montenegro’s strategic ally. Our countries enjoy a good level of cooperation in various areas, especially in economic field,” said Montenegrin Minister of Foreign Affairs Srdjan Darmanovic following his meeting with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov. “However, we should improve these ties. Our relations are reflected in high level meetings and mutual agreements. We signed agreements on friendship and cooperation in 2013.” The Montenegrin FM hailed the launch of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway. “I believe that this project will strengthen relations between our two countries.” Darmanovic said Montenegro stands for settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict based on norms of international law.
