Azerbaijan, Vietnam discuss interparliamentary relations

Baku, October 10 (AzerTAc). Members of the Working Group for Azerbaijan-Vietnam interparliamentary relations of the Azerbaijani Parliament have met a delegation of the Legal Committee of the Vietnamese National Assembly. Head of the Working Group Novruzali Aslanov highlighted friendly ties between Azerbaijani and Vietnamese people, and hailed the development of bilateral cooperation between the two countries. He said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev`s visit to Vietnam played a key role in the development of the bilateral relations. Aslanov also informed the Vietnamese delegation on the activities of the Milli Majlis. Touching upon the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Aslanov described the dispute as “a real threat” to regional security. Chairman of the Legal Committee of the Vietnamese National Assembly Phan Trung Ly said he graduated from Baku State University. He also lauded rapid development of Azerbaijan over the last few years. The sides stressed the importance of increasing the number of reciprocal visits of the two countries` parliamentarians.
