Azerbaijani Ambassador meets Tajik Premier

Dushanbe, February 28 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s Ambassador to Tajikistan Abbasali Hasanov has met the country’s Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda. They discussed how to expand relations between Azerbaijan and Tajikistan. The two noted there was big potential for boosting the Azerbaijan-Tajikistan cooperation in the fields of trade, economy, hydropower, industry and agriculture, adding Azerbaijan has a big experience in these areas. Rasulzoda said Tajikistan was interested in development of relations between the two countries` private sectors. ‘We have signed 32 intergovernmental documents, which created big opportunities to get this done.” The Premier also recalled a concert program of Azerbaijani musicians in Tajikistan last year, adding such cultural events played an important role in developing the bilateral ties. The Azerbaijani diplomat stressed the necessity of expanding cooperation between the two countries in the fields of science and education. They also discussed the restoration of a direct flight between Dushanbe and Baku.
