Azerbaijani Center for Strategic Studies, Italian Institute for International Political Studies to sign memorondum of cooperation

Azerbaijan, Baku, Nov.5 / Trend E.Mehdiyev/ The Deputy Director of Azerbaijani Center for Strategic Studies Gulshan Pashayeva will pay a visit to Italy on Nov.7-13, 2011, Center for Strategic Studies told Trend on Saturday. Signing of memorandum of cooperation between the Azerbaijani Center for Strategic Studies and Italian Institute for International Political Studies and trip to South Tyrol are planned within the framework of the visit. The main purpose of signing the memorandum is to facilitate free idea sharing on Italia-Azerbaijan relations, international politics, regional geopolitical situation between the experts of Italian and Azerbaijani think tanks and to establish long term cooperation with relevant institutions to carry out visiting research fellow exchanges. Holding meetings between two sides, conducting joint researches, cooperation on different fields are considered in the memorandum. A number of meetings are planned within the framework of the visit. Ideas will exchanged about current geopolitical situation in the South Caucasus, Azerbaijan's role in European energy security, impact of unresolved conflict on global security etc. at the meetings. It should be mentioned that the Center for Strategic Studies has already sighed memorandums of cooperation with the Center for Strategic Studies of the Foreign Ministry of Turkey (March 7) and Russian Institute for Strategic Studies (March 14) in 2011.
