Azerbaijani Delegation resolutely objects to holding Euronest PA Bureau meeting in Armenia

Baku, September 20 (AzerTAc). Bureau meeting of the Euronest PA will take place on October 16, 2014. Among other issues, the question of holding next plenary session of the institution in Armenia will be discussed. Elkhan Suleymanov, chairman of Azerbaijani Delegation to the Euronest PA, addressed a letter of objection to Euronest PA Co-Chairs and Bureau members regarding this issue. “The Azerbaijani Delegation constantly stated its resolute objection to Armenian Chairmanship in the Euronest PA and holding the plenary session of the Euronest PA in Armenia during Bureau meetings of 2011, 2012, and 2013,” Mr. Suleymanov said in his letter. “The Azerbaijani Delegation once again states that it definitely objects to holding Euronest PA plenary sessions, Bureau and committee meetings in Armenia and refuses to attend those sessions and meetings until Nagorno Karabakh and surrounding 7 provinces of Azerbaijan are set free, the threat to frontier regions of Azerbaijan with 400 thousand inhabitants due to the occupation of Sarsang reservoir for over 22 years is eliminated, and the blockade of Nakhchivan is stopped,” he said.
