Azerbaijani Embassy is investigating whether there are Azerbaijani citizens among those killed or injured in Indonesia earthquake

Baku, August 9, AZERTAC “The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Indonesia maintains constant contact with the appropriate authorities of the country to investigate whether there are citizens of Azerbaijan among those killed or injured as a second earthquake hit the Indonesian island of Lombok on August 9,” said spokesman of Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Hikmat Hajiyev. He mentioned that there were no Azerbaijani citizens among those killed or injured in the quake that occurred on August 6 in the same location. “The Indonesian public authorities are providing assistance and support to foreigners who are in the quake-affected areas. Citizens of Azerbaijan, visiting the country for tourism or other purposes who are currently in the quake-affected area and need special assistance, can immediately contact the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Indonesia via the hotline +62 812 89796665 (Nasibov Ruslan),” Hajiyev added.
