Azerbaijani FM to attend trilateral ministerial meeting in Turkey

Baku, Azerbaijan, Aug. 28 Trend: An Azerbaijani delegation led by Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov left for Turkey, the Azerbaijani foreign ministry told Trend August 28. The purpose of the visit is to participate in a trilateral meeting of foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Turkey, to be held in Antalya on August 28. The previous meeting of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Turkmenistan Elmar Mammadyarov, Mevlut Cavusoglu and Rashid Meredov was held in Kuwait in May 2015 as part of the 42nd session of the foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The first meeting in this format was held in Baku in 2014. Baku Declaration was adopted following this meeting. The cooperation of the countries covers a wide range of issues, including energy, tourism, humanitarian sphere and politics. There are such formats of meetings as Azerbaijan-Turkey-Georgia, Azerbaijan-Turkey-Iran. The summits of foreign ministers and presidents of these countries were held.
