Azerbaijani FM meets British Prime Ministerial Trade Envoy

Baku, October 9 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov has met British Prime Ministerial Trade Envoy, House of Lords member Lord Risby. They praised Azerbaijan-Great Britain relations, saying there was big potential for boosting the ties even further. Mr. Mammadyarov briefed Lord Risby on grave consequences of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the state of negotiations to solve the problem. Lord Risby praised Azerbaijan`s achievements, saying the country had open vision and strategic course for future development. The sides stressed the importance of regional projects initiated by and involving Azerbaijan, particularly a recent ground-breaking ceremony of the Southern Gas Corridor in the country. They also discussed regional and global matters.
