Azerbaijani FM meets Romanian Energy Minister

Bucharest, September 16 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijani Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov has met Romanian Energy Minister Răzvan Nicolescu as part of his official visit to Bucharest. They discussed a range of issues, including cooperation between the two countries in energy sphere, particularly Azerbaijan–Georgia–Romania Interconnector (AGRI) project. Mr. Nicolescu expressed Romania`s keenness to cooperate with Azerbaijan in the energy sector. Mr. Mammadyarov praised the relations between Azerbaijan and Romania. The FM highlighted progress in the execution of the Trans-Adriatic, Trans Anatolian pipelines. He said this year would celebrate the 20th anniversary of the “Contract of the Century”, adding Baku will host a ground-breaking ceremony of Trans Adriatic pipeline.
