Azerbaijani FM meets Turkmen President

Baku, January 29 AzerTAc Azerbaijani Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov has met President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the sidelines of a trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Turkey. Mr. Mammadyarov praised the current state of relations between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan. FM Mammadyarov conveyed greetings of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to the Turkmen President. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov asked the Azerbaijani Minister to communicate his greetings and best wishes to President Ilham Aliyev. They stressed the importance of holding trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Turkey in terms of development of regional cooperation. During the meeting, they also discussed cooperation between the two countries in the fields of economy, trade, science and education.
