Azerbaijani parliamentarian chairs PACE plenary session

Strasbourg, January 25, AZERTAC Head of the Azerbaijani Delegation to PACE, chairman of the parliament`s committee on international and inter-parliamentary relations, Samad Seyidov, has chaired the plenary meeting of PACE winter session held in Strasbourg. The resolution, on the basis of the report by Italian deputy Nunzia Catalfo on “The case for a basic citizenship income”, was adopted during the session. The report said that with poverty and increasing inequalities persistently undermining human dignity, most European countries are struggling to ensure a decent standard of living for all. At the same time, the speakers highlighted that with the development of modern digital technology, many job places were closed and unemployment was increased respectively.
