AzerTAc`s correspondent asks question about US attitude to Armenia after UNGA vote

Washington, April 2 (AzerTAc). At the US State Department`s daily press briefing AzerTAc`s correspondent to the US Yusif Babanli has asked a question about the attitude of the US to Armenia after the UNGA vote. US State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf replied to Babanli`s question “last week, President Obama stated that United States and Europe stand united and Russia stands alone. But the last week’s UN General Assembly voting showed that Russia does not stand alone. There are countries also countries like Armenia which claim to be allies with the United States, but apparently they’re not voting in favor of the U.S.-supported resolution. So do you anticipate any changes in foreign policy vis-a-vis countries like Armenia?” was as follows: “Well, not that I’ve heard of, obviously. In terms of the UNGA vote, there were only 10 countries, as I said, that stood with Russia in voting no: Cuba, North Korea, Syria, Venezuela, countries like that. So obviously, we thought it was important that 100 countries came together to vote yes for this resolution that was very clear in its condemnation of Russia.” Harf said that she would check the possible changes in the US foreign policy against Armenia.
