Baku ambassador summoned over use of Azerbaijan soil by terrorists

TEHRAN, Feb. 13 (MNA) – The Iranian Foreign Ministry summoned Azerbaijani Ambassador Javanshir Akhundov on Sunday to protest about the use of Azerbaijani soil by terrorists to take measures against the Islamic Republic. Azerbaijan is teeming with Mossad agents working to collect intelligence on the happenings within the Islamic Republic, the Times Of London reported on Saturday, citing testimony from an anonymous agent active in the country referred to only as “Shimon”. In the meeting with the ambassador, an Iranian Foreign Ministry official delivered a protest note to him and called on the Azerbaijani government to prevent terrorists from carrying out activities on its soil. Akhundov said that he will convey Iran’s protest to his country’s officials.
