Bangladeshi Journalist Praises Tehran's 19th Press Fair As Unique

Tehran, Nov 1, IRNA – Ahmed Badruddin Khan, from Bangladesh al-Madina News Agency, on Wednesday lauded the idea of holding the 19th International Exhibition of Press and News Agencies and said it is unique in its kind. In an interview with IRNA on the sidelines of the 19th International Exhibition of Press and News Agencies, which is currently underway at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Mosalla, Khan said holding of the exhibition holding is of significance at this juncture when the world of Islam is in crisis. He said, "We are suffering; We are victims of western media; they call us terrorists." As for western sanctions, he said Iran has been the target of the sanctions by the West for its refusal to salute the West and it's getting stronger. The exhibition is hosting some 2,380 Persian dailies, magazines and periodicals while about 50 pavilions have been dedicated to international section. The exhibition also includes a temporary museum displaying history of Iranian journalism on the sidelines of the event. A collection of the earliest Iranian newspapers and magazines is on display in the museum pavilion. The 19th International Exhibition of Press and News Agencies runs until November 3./end
