Berlin Rally Highlights Qods Global Importance For Ummah

Berlin, Aug 18, IRNA -- A rally in Berlin on Friday highlighted the global significance of Holy Qods for the Ummah. A group of mostly Arab people, waving Palestinian flags and holding posters of the al-Aqsa mosque, gathered at the town hall in Berlin's Neukoelln district, stressing the international importance of Quds Day for not only Palestinians but Muslims around the world. Speakers slammed the ongoing Israeli occupation of Beit-ul-Moqaddas amid numerous UN resolutions. They lambasted the ongoing Judaization of Beit-ul-Moqaddas, the illegal expansion of Jewish settlements, the destruction of Arab housings and the imprisonment and mistreatment of Palestinians in the occupied territories. The group pointed also to the continued woeful state of Palestinians in Israeli jails. Speakers also reaffirmed the right return of Palestinians to their homeland, especially to Beit-ul-Moqaddas. Meanwhile, Berlin's main Quds march is slated for Saturday./end
