Berri: Lebanon Supports Palestiniansˈ Resistance To Zionist Enemy

Beirut, July 27, IRNA – Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri said on Saturday that Lebanon supports Palestine resistance to Israeli occupation. Speaking to Iranˈs Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian in Beirut, Berri said Lebanese people are integrated and united in condemning Zionistsˈ crimes in Gaza and support resistance movement of the oppressed Palestinian nation to liberate their motherland from the Israeli occupation. He said Lebanese parliament will in a meeting with representatives of all tribes and political factions, support Gaza and in the meantime condemn the Daesh terror group crimes in Mosul. He said that maintaining cohesion and unity among regional nations against the enemy plots is necessary. The Speaker said the Zionist regime, which is the root cause of plot in the region, imagined that since regional nations are gripped with their own problems, the opportunity is ripe for attack on Gaza but the response of resistance shocked it. Amir-Abdollahian is in Lebanon at the head of a delegation to hold talks with the Lebanese officials on regional developments, including Zionist regimeˈs brutal aggression on Gaza. The two sides also discussed bilateral relations and latest developments in the region. Iranˈs ambassador to Beirut Mohammad Fathali was present in the meeting. He underlined Iranˈs firm support for resistance of the oppressed Palestinian nation to aggressions of the usurper Zionist regime. ˈBased on the information available, resistance has thus far been able to use a small portion of its missile reserves and munitions, and if the Zionist regime does not stop savage attacks on Gaza and its siege, a crushing defeat will await the regime. Amir-Abdollahian said recent crimes committed by the Daesh terror group in Iraq and Zionist regimeˈs savage aggression on Gaza go in parallel to strike blow to the Muslims. He condemned expulsion of Christians from Mosul and said crimes and genocide are the common goals of the Daesh terror group and the Zionist regime and all the measures are derived from a single mindset in the region, a reference to the mentality of the Saudi government./end
