Blasphemy against Islamic sanctities redline of Muslim nations: MP

Istanbul, Jan 23, IRNA – A senior parliamentarian said Thursday that sacrilege of Islamic sanctities is the redline for Muslim countries. In an exclusive interview with IRNA, Kazem Jalali, a member of the Iranian parliamentary delegation to the 10th Islamic Inter-Parliamentary Union (IIPU) session in Istanbul, condemned desecration of the Islamic sanctities. Jalali said that fighting terrorism, particularly state terrorism, like what is being carried out by the Israeli authorities, as well as defending the legitimate rights of all countries to produce peaceful nuclear technology is to be included in the final statement of the IIPU session. Jalali said that the statement will also underline the need for forging unity among Muslim nations, avoiding domestic discord and fighting Islamophobia, what he said is a plot hatched by the Tel Aviv occupying regime. The 10th IIPU session, which opened in Istanbul on Wednesday, will wind up later in the day after issuing a final statement. An Iranian parliamentary delegation led by Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani attended the meeting.
