Blast Kills 3 Pakistani Soldiers

Islamabad, April 22 ,IRNA – A bomb blast near Pakistan’s North Waziristan tribal region on Sunday killed at least three soldiers, security sources said. The remote-controlled bomb exploded near a convoy of the security forces, killing three soldiers at the scene. A vehicle was also destroyed in the attack. The convoy was heading to North Waziristan when it came under attack, official said. No group claimed responsibility. The authorities blame Taliban for such attacks. Taliban routinely launch attacks on security forces in North Waziristan, bordering Afghanistan. Meanwhile, a hand grenade was exploded near a political gathering in southwestern Balochistan province on Sunday, police said. No one was injured in the rally of the National Party in Turbat, the party spokesman said. He said unknown men lobbed a hand grenade at the rally, when the party chief Malik Baloch was about to address his supporters. The attacker fled the scene, he said. Four close relatives of a senior political leader were killed in a bomb blast in Balochistan last week./end
