Blatter Thanks President Rouhani

Tehran, Nov 16, IRNA – President of the International Football Federation (FIFA) in a letter to President Hassan Rouhani thanked him for receiving him and hosting FIFA delegation in Iran. In the letter, Sepp Blatter appreciated President Rouhani for sincere talks with FIFAs head and delegation in Presidential Office about different issues, including women football. Again, please accept my felicitation for qualification of Iran’s National Football team for World Cup 2014 as well as election of your Excellency as Iran’s new president, Blatter wrote in his letter. I wish success for his Excellency and happiness for Iran’s great nation, he wrote. Blatter, heading a high-ranking delegation, paid a 2-day visit to Tehran on November 6-8, 2013. During his stay, Blatter attended a conference dubbed as “ Science and Football” and he was also received by President Rouhani as well as Majlis (Irans Parliament) Speaker Ali Larijani./end
