Boroujerdi Confers With Lebanese President On Regional Issues

Tehran, Sept 4, IRNA – Head of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi and Lebanese President Michel Suleiman on Tuesday held talks on issues of mutual interest. Latest regional developments and issues relating to the Syrian crisis and likely US attack on Syria were among the subjects reviewed. Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Ghazanfar Roknabadi was also present in the meeting. Boroujerdi had already visited the tomb of martyr Emad Moghnieh, the member of Lebanese Hezbollah assassinated by Israeli terror operatives in car bombing in Lebanon. During his stay, Boroujerdi also conferred with various Lebanese officials, including the president, the prime minister, the parliament speaker and the foreign minister./end
