Boroujerdi: Europe must take action to fulfill its promises

TEHRAN, May 23 (MNA) – The Chairman of Iran's Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission said Tues. that Europe must fulfill its promises, adding Pompeo’s anti-Iran remarks was result of US frustration. Alaeddin Boroujerdi made the remarks in an interview with Al Mayadeen satellite television on Tuesday. "The European position is good so far but it should be accompanied by action,” Boroujerdi said, stressing that Iran wants Europe to take practical steps. He described the strategy against Iran recently presented by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo as ‘worthless and trivial’ and called on him to learn the literature on diplomacy. The Iranian lawmaker further said that Iran’s military advisers are in Syria and Iraq at the request of their governments, adding Iran’s policy is moving towards the East to confront the US aggression.
