Boroujerdi, Massoum discuss ME developments

TEHRAN, Jan. 17 (MNA) – Head of PNSFPC is in Baghdad and has visited Iraqi President Fouad Massoum on Monday. Mr. Alaeddin Boroujerdi conveys the warmest regards of President Rouhani to Iraqi officials and Mr. Massoum. After Monday meeting, Boroujerdi told reporters that he and Mr. Massoum addressed possible steps for improvement of relations with Iraq; “we thank the Iraqi parliamentary delegation for holding the session held on Saturday and Sunday; the latest developments in Middle East, especially Iraq’s fight against terrorism in Mosul and Syrian crisis were also topics of discussion,” he added. “The meeting highlighted the regular contacts and exchange of opinions between officials of both countries,” Mr. Boroujerdi told the press. Boroujerdi had met with other Iraqi officials including Salim al-Jabouri, the Parliament Speaker, Ibrahim al-Jafari, FM, Ammar al-Hakim, head of National Coalition, and other notable figures during the tour of the country.
