Bosnia, Herzegovina never forgets Iran's friendship: Grand Mufti

Belgrade, Nov 8, IRNA – A senior cleric of Bosnia and Herzegovina said that the people of that country will never forget the Iranian nation's friendship, stressing Tehran's aid is appreciated by Sarajevo all the time. Bosnia, Herzegovina never forgets Iran's friendship: Grand Mufti Husein Kavazović, reis-ul-ulema and Grand Mufti of Bosnia and Herzegovina, made the remarks in a meeting with new Iranian Ambassador to that country Mahmoud Heydari. The effect of the Iranian culture on the World of Islam and Bosnia and Herzegovina is unforgettable, said the Mufti, adding Sarajevo and Tehran have a good record of long-lasting cultural ties. He further hoped that Iran would continue support for his country as before. Meanwhile, Heydari said Iran always respects Bosnian and Herzegovinian independence and sovereignty. Bilateral ties between the two are going to grow after the July 2015 deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Heydari added. 1378/IRNA
