Briefing on DPRK Foreign Ministry's Memorandum Given in Nigeria

Pyongyang, December 2 (KCNA) -- A briefing on the DPRK Foreign Ministry's memorandum was given at the Nigeria-Korea Friendship Association on Nov. 23. Briefing on the memorandum, Ibrahim Mantu, member of the Credit Committee of the People's Democratic Party of Nigeria and chairman of the Association, said that the DPRK's access to nuclear weapons is a clear result of the U.S. hostile policy and nuclear threat against it. A former lawmaker said: It is a legitimate right of a sovereign state to build self-defensive capability in coping with outsiders' move for aggression. It is a decisive guarantee for defending the country's sovereignty to cope with threat of a nuclear war with nuclear deterrent. The DPRK's self-defensive capability reached a high level under the wise guidance of the great leaders. The U.S. and its followers should recognize the DPRK's nuclear strike capability, properly understand its strategic position and make a correct option. The participants in the briefing expressed their determination to conduct more positive activities for supporting the Korean people's just cause, saying that Juche Korea making a leap forward day by day while demonstrating its power is an example in the present times. -0-
