Budget for Naadam festival approved

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ For this year's National Great Festival (Naadam) a total of one billion 581.3 million togrog will be spent. Several grand events are to marked such as the 2222nd anniversary of the first Mongolian Statehood--Hun Empire, the 807th anniversary of the Great Mongol Empire and the 92nd anniversary of the People’s Revolution. Some MNT 350 million will be financed from income of the festival's events, 380 million will be allotted from the city's budget, 840 million—from the governmental reserved fund, and 11.2 million—from the income of the previous year's festival events. A sum of MNT 288.9 million, or 18.2 percent of the total budget, will be spent for prizes, 241.3 million or 15.3 percent—for art and cultural measures, 443.1 million—for furnishing, 141.8 million—for police actions, and 466.3 million—for others.
