Cabinet-Ambassadors’ Meeting, Fruitful: Deputy FM

Tehran, Jan 2, IRNA – Deputy Foreign Minister for Middle East and Africa Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian said that a joint meeting between cabinet and head of Islamic Republic of Iran’s diplomatic missions to foreign countries was fruitful and friendly. “We exchanged views and discussed the latest regional and international developments, as well as the measures by Iranian Foreign Ministry,” the official said on the sidelines of the joint meeting on Sunday. A joint meeting attended by ambassadors and head of Islamic Republic of Iran’s diplomatic missions abroad, as well as cabinet members opened on December 27 at the presence of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and it will end on January 2. Senior Iranian diplomats also discussed important regional and international issues by focusing on the notion of Islamic Awakening by attending expert meeting since December 24. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, First Vice-President Mohammad Reza Rahimi, vice-presidents, presidential advisors, ministers, Foreign Ministry officials, ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions abroad attended the joint meeting./end
