Cabinet meeting in brief

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The cabinet meeting on Monday discussed a draft agreement on a non-refundable aid for working out a compact contract of the Millennium Challenge to be established between the government of Mongolia and the US Millennium Challenge Corporation. This matter will be consulted with a related Standing committee of parliament. - The cabinet decided to submit to parliament a bill on ratifying an agreement on optional loan for the project on constructing an international airport of Ulaanbaatar. This agreement has been established between the government of Mongolia and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). - The Minister of Health and Sport G.Shiilegdamba was obliged to put forward a proposal to the Belgian side on performing a project on strengthening the western region’s diagnosis and treatment center by the “FSE” France-Belgium joint company and to establish a commercial contract with the company. This project will be implemented with a soft loan from the Kingdom of Belgium. - The cabinet approved results of the first meeting of the Mongolia-South Korea intergovernmental joint committee held in March of 2015, and ordered N.Tomorkhuu, the Minister of Road and Transportation and head of the joint committee for the Mongolian side, to adopt a list of works to be done within the meeting and to monitor the realization. - The Mongolia-Bulgaria intergovernmental protocol was backed on registering international contracts and treaties established between the two countries. The Minister of Foreign Affairs L.Purevsuren was authorized to sign the protocol. - The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Mr U Wunna Maung Lwin will pay official visit to Mongolia this May 13-15, so the cabinet discussed draft directives the Mongolian side will adhere during the visit. - The Minister of Foreign Affairs L.Purevsuren spoke about his participation in events dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Bandung Conderence, held this April 19-24 in Jakarta of Indonesia. - The cabinet decided to give loans through commercial banks to cashmere production factories.
