Canada Following Zionist Regime's Anti-Iran Pattern

New York, Sept 9, IRNA - The right-wing government of Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper has suddenly announced that it suspended its diplomatic ties with Iran giving some strange excuses previously repeated by the Zionist regime. Harper referred to Tehran's peaceful nuclear program, its hostility with the Zionist regime and its support for Syria as the main reasons behind closure of the Canadian Embassy in Tehran. The claims made by Ottawa were the same reasons made by the Zionist regime as the source of its concerns. None of those so-called reasons were related to Tehran-Ottawa diplomatic ties. The decision and the so-called reasons behind it surprised many international observers and analysts who realized a similarity between Harper's words and the concerns of the Zionist regime over Iran. A review on the history of Harper's right-wing government and its mass support for the Zionist regime would unveil the motives behind the suspension of Ottawa's diplomatic ties with Tehran. Iran's Foreign Ministry reacted to the move by calling it a "hostile attitude of the racist government of Canada that is following some policies dictated by Tel Aviv and London." The ministry added the Canadian government was known by Harper's radical policies. Analysts familiar with the North America affairs believe that Harper's government which took office in 2006, has shown the greatest support for the Zionists and enjoys a long history in safeguarding the interests of the Zionist regime at the international forums. The endless support of Canada for the Zionist regime has damaged the former's status at the international level to the extent that Ottawa failed to obtain UN members 'Yes' vote for a non-permanent seat at the Security Council in 2011 while Portugal won the place at the body. Harper has also made various moves against the Hizbullah of Lebanon and the Hamas Movement in full coordination and cooperation with the Zionist lobby. He also helped Zionists' efforts to enlist Hizbullah as a terrorist group. However, the Lebanese Hizbullah is known among members of the European Union as a popular political group. The climax of Harper government's support for Zionists was in 2006 when it backed the Zionist regime's military attacks on Lebanon during the 33-day war. The Canadian PM made a speech then openly supporting massacre of the innocent people of Lebanon and bombardment of residential units and infrastructural sites as a precise response by the Zionist regime. Meanwhile, in a recent meeting with Harper, his Zionist counterpart Benyamin Netanyahu addressed him by his first name saying that the two had many things in common. Additionally, the immediate support of the Zionist regime for suspension of Ottawa's diplomatic ties with Tehran has indicated the long history of Harper's close friendship with Tel Aviv. Therefore, many analysts believe that closure of the Canadian Embassy in Tehran has taken place in full coordination with the Zionist regime. In fact, they said that Ottawa has made the move to satisfy Israel and the Zionist lobby and that it would leave no stones unturned to prove its devotion to the Zionist regime even if it costs Ottawa's international status and damage its respect in world public opinion./end
