Canada removes MKO from terrorist list

TEHRAN,Dec.22(MNA) – The Canadian government has removed the Mojahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) from its official list of terrorist organizations, AP reported on Friday. MKO, an Iranian armed exile group, has carried out a series of bombings and assassinations against Iran and fought alongside Saddam’s forces in the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war. The United States and the European Union also have removed the group from their list of terrorist groups.
