"CanSat" to launch soon

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The national competition for launching a satellite "CanSat" will take place at horse racing center on May 19. It will be organized under the auspices of the PM Altankhyag. He will attend the opening ceremony. The event will demonstrate model airplanes and small rocket and satellite launch organized by Mongolian air sport federation. A "CanSat" is a type of sounding rocket payload used to teach space technology similar to the technology used in miniaturized satellites. No CanSat has ever left the atmosphere or even orbited earth.
