Caretaker Thai PM: Political reform is to conducted after Feb 2 election

BANGKOK, December 21 (TNA) - Thailand's Caretaker Prime Minister and Defence Minister Yingluck Shinawatra wishes to see a domestic political reform, but it is impossible to conduct the reform before the new general election, as demanded by the anti-government People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC),because the Constitution does not open any door for the election postponement. Deputy Secretary-General to the Prime Minister Police Major General Thawat Boonfueng told reporters of the caretaker prime minister's intention on Saturday (Dec 21). Thawat, thus, urged people of every sector to support the February 2, 2014 general election and the Election Commission of Thailand (EC) to coordinate with security agencies to ensure that the upcoming national poll will be held fairly under a peaceful atmosphere.
