Chairman of Board of Al-Gomhuria urges closer Egypt-Azerbaijan cooperation

Cairo, October 11 (AzerTAc). Chairman of the Board of Egyptian Al-Gomhuria newspaper Ibrahim Galaa Gaballah has urged closer cooperation with Azerbaijan as he shared his impressions from his recent visit to Baku where he attended the 4th Baku International Humanitarian Forum. In his article, Mr. Gaballah calls Azerbaijan “a friendly country for Egypt, which loves it and its people, which seeks closer relations with Egypt and wants to be actively involved in plans to develop the country”. He praises Azerbaijan`s achievements, saying the country is developing at a rapid pace in all areas of life. “Egypt must seek closer cooperation with Azerbaijan.” Mr. Gaballah says the two countries enjoy good relations particularly on cultural and humanitarian fronts, hailing the role of the Egyptian Embassy in Baku and the Egyptian Culture Center headed by specialist in Azerbaijani language Dr. Ahmad Sami. He also notes the significance of his meeting with Director General of the Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency (AzerTAc) Aslan Aslanov, saying they discussed prospects for cooperation between Al-Gomhuria and Azerbaijan`s major state news agency. “We agreed to ensure closer cooperation, including in organizing conferences, exhibitions and other events both in Egypt and Azerbaijan,” he says. Mr. Gaballah also lauds the role of Azerbaijani Ambassador in Cairo Shahin Abdullayev, saying he is tirelessly working to strengthen the relations and cooperation between the two countries.
