Chairman of Nakhchivan Supreme Assembly meets Japanese ambassador

Baku, April 23 (AzerTAc). Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov has met Japanese ambassador to Azerbaijan Tsuguo Takahashi. Mr. Talibov mentioned that Azerbaijan-Japan relations were set up in 1991. He said Japan’s Embassy in Azerbaijan opened in 2000, while Azerbaijan opened its Embassy in Tokyo in 2005. On relations between the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan and Japan, the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly said bilateral ties covered agricultural, educational and other fields. Mr. Talibov also expressed hope that the visit of the Japanese ambassador to Nakhchivan would be fruitful in terms of expanding bilateral relationship between the Autonomous Republic and Japan. Mr. Takahashi praised Japan-Azerbaijan relations in political, economic and cultural fields. The ambassador noted he would spare no efforts to contribute to expanding ties between Japan and Azerbaijan, including the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan.
