Chairman of State Committee on Work with Diaspora meets Executive Director and President of American Jewish Committee

Baku, January 30 AZERTAC Chairman of the State Committee of Azerbaijan on Work with Diaspora Nazim Ibrahimov has met a delegation led by Executive Director of the American Jewish Committee (AJC) David Harris and AJC President John Shapiro. On the importance of Azerbaijan-AJC cooperation, Mr. Ibrahimov said this cooperation will further develop. Mr. Ibrahimov said Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev’s receiving David Harris during every visit shows that the head of state attaches great importance to the development of Azerbaijan-AJC cooperation. “Azerbaijan attaches great importance to the establishment of a close relationship with the all the Jewish communities around the world. From this prospect, the AJC has a special role,” he added. David Harris, in turn, said the Organization favors the development of Azerbaijan-US ties. The AJC executive director highly appreciated the visit of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Azerbaijan.
