Chilean “infogate” news website seeks cooperation with AZERTAC

Baku, September 11, AZERTAC Chilean popular “infogate” news website (https://www.infogate.cl/) has expressed its intention to cooperate with AZERTAC news agency in the field of information exchange. In a letter addressed to Azerbaijan`s Foreign Ministry, “infogate” editor said the website enjoyed wide readership in many countries, including Mexico, Argentina, the United States, Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia and Spain. "The website also cooperates with Russia's Sputnik, Spain's EuropaPress and France's RFI agencies. The news stories of the website are widely broadcast and shared on local TV channels and websites." The “infogate” website suggested the dissemination of its news by AZERTAC website, emphasizing that this cooperation could be important in terms of ensuring wider promotion of Azerbaijan and the Caucasus region in South America and coverage of the realities of the region. The news website, which has been serving in the Chilean digital media industry for five years and is actively involved in news production, boasts more than 11,000 followers and an average of more than 800,000 views per month on Twitter. The “infogate” news website has published a number of articles highlighting the military provocation committed by Armenia in the direction of Tovuz region on the border with Azerbaijan, as well as the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The website also posted an article addressing the UN Security Council resolutions on the conflict, as well as shared news citing AZERTAC news agency. The website, which also publishes other analytical articles, has a weekly analytical program for YouTube involving well-known politicians and analysts, which is broadcast live on several Chilean TV channels.
