China’s National Day marked in Hanoi

Hanoi, October 1 (VNA) - The Chinese Embassy in Hanoi hosted a reception on September 29 to mark China’s 65 th National Day (October 1). Addressing the event, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh congratulated the Chinese people for the achievements they have gained over the past 65 years and expressed the belief that they will reap even greater fruits during the country’s reform and socialist building process. He affirmed that Vietnam is willing to work together with China to further consolidate the traditional friendship between the two countries. Vietnam wishes to strengthen mutual understanding and trust between the two peoples as well as develop the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic partnership in a stable and healthy manner in order to contribute to peace, stability and development in the region and the world, Deputy PM Ninh said. Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Hong Xiao Yong said China-Vietnam ties have maintained the developing trend over the past time with joint efforts by both sides. He affirmed that China wants to, together with Vietnam, deepen the two countries’ traditional friendship and expand cooperation for mutual benefit.-VNA
