China opposes to military action on Iran, Chinese FM spokesman says

Beijing, Nov 9, IRNA -- Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei said on Tuesday that his country is against taking any military action over Iran’s nuclear program. He made the remarks commenting on the upcoming report which is to be issued by Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency Yukiya Amano on Iran. Speaking to reporters, he said China sees the negotiations the best way to help resolve the dispute over Iran’s nuclear program. All parties should look for a long-term and comprehensive resolution merely through dialogue and negotiations which must be regarded as the best option, he said. In the meantime, he called on Iran to show flexibility to resolve the issue. China is against any military threat or war to resolve international disputes, he added. China and Russia have expressed concern over US military threat to the Islamic Republic of Iran over the dispute on national nuclear program. Iran has reaffirmed commitment to Non-Proliferation Treaty and the Safeguards Agreement of the International Atomic Energy Agency. Iran says its national nuclear program is for civilian utility and the IAEA upcoming report on Iran has been documented on counterfeit evidences. Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said that Amano has documented his report on counterfeit evidences and he must know that counterfeit evidence is just like counterfeit money. 'He must know that counterfeit money is money, but, counterfeit.' /end
