China, Russia leaders stress settlement of Iran nuclear case

Beijing, May 9, IRNA – Expressing satisfactions over progress in Iran, Group 5+1 nuclear talks, Russian and Chinese presidents stressed expansion of cooperation between the two countries on the issue. According to a statement by the Chinese Foreign Ministry, President Vladimir Putin and President Xi Jinping met in Moscow ahead of the Victory Day commemorations in the capital to mark the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II. During the meeting, they expressed happiness over the process of Iran’s nuclear negotiations and underlined the need for Moscow and Beijing to continue coordination for the speedy settlement of the issue. The meeting mainly focused on this issue. The two presidents called for preserving the current trend of talks until reaching the desired result.
