Chinese Navy Commander Stresses Expanding Ties With Iran

Beijing, April 18, IRNA - Chinese Navy Commander Admiral Wanng Zhauhai on Tuesday appreciated Iranian Army’s capabilities and experiences and underlined his country's willingness to expand ties with Iran. He made the remarks in a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Beijing Mahdi Safari on the sidelines of a ceremony in Beijing marking Iran National Army Day. Wanng was accompanied by Deputy Director General for Education of Chinese University of National Defense Brigadier General Li Jian Chang and the Vice Chancellor of Chinese Air Force Academy Brigadier General Lou Sheng Nan. Pointing to Tehran-Beijing friendly relations, he said Iran’s Armed Forces enjoy high capabilities and experiences. He thanked Iranian naval forces for rescuing 28 crew members of Chinese cargo ship vessel 'Xianghuamen' from Somali pirates on Monday in Oman Sea./end
