Chinese president wishes Russia new success under Putin’s leadership

ASTANA, June 8. /TASS/. Chinese President Xi Jinping has wished Russia to achieve new success under President Vladimir Putin’s strong-willed leadership. "I sincerely wish that under your strong-willed leadership Russia achieves new success on the path of national development and revitalization," Xi stressed at the meeting with the Russian president. He congratulated Russians on the upcoming Russia Day celebrated on June 12. The Chinese leader noted that he has held many meetings with Putin at different venues this year. "This signals that Russian-Chinese relations today are at a high level, and have strategic character and stability," he stressed. "Amid difficult international situation our relations have been developing very well. Our cooperation and mutual support have great importance for the world at a global scale," Xi said. Read more
