Chinese Professor: Iran, China Back Each Other In Int’l Scenes

Oct 28, IRNA – Iran and China, both with old cultures and histories, support each other in many international scenes and have broad cooperation, head of the governing council of China’s Gwangju University said here on Monday. Jianche Yu who was leading a delegation of Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) said in a meeting with Mazandaran University in Bablosar City that he was glad to be in Iran and for the bilateral academic cooperation. The Chinese academician said that the Iran-China friendship dates back to ancient times, such as the two countries’ trade ties, adding that in Gwangju City a large number of Iranians are engaged in business activities. He said that Iran is China’s 2nd top trade partner and expressed hope that the two countries’ economic and cultural tie will in the future expand more than ever before. Professor Jianche Yu said that the two countries math universities already have good ties and referred to the presence of Iranian students in China. “The Iranian students are both wise and study very hard. They have established cordial ties with their professors and with the Chinese university students. They abide by the rules and regulations of the university and the Chinese professors are very fond of them,” he said. The Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) was established in the year 1927 and save for medical and agriculture colleges has faculties of all other sciences, according to the Chinese professor./end
