CH.SAIKHANBILEG PM PARTICIPATES IN SPIEF 2015

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Prime Minister of Mongolia Mr Ch.Saikhanbileg is taking part in the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum -2015 (SPIEF) which kicked off on June 18 in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Annually organized since 1997, the SPIEF is the main annual international economic and business forum convened in Russia. From 2006, the SPIEF is held under the patronage of the President of the Russian Federation. The SPIEF is a unique platform, created with the purpose of providing an opportunity to discuss the most pressing issues of modernity in the context of global economy: political challenges, economic and social impact of the world crisis and changes in the world balance of powers. In 2014 the number of participants who came from over 70 countries exceeded 7500 people. Among the main speakers and attendees are heads of State and Government, prime-ministers, ministers, governors, heads of political parties, CEOs of world leading companies, scientists and experts of various fields and representatives of international media. Under a motto “THE EMERGING ECONOMIC POWERS’ GROWTH & STABILITY NETWORK”, this year’s forum gathered delegates from some 100 countries. The previous year’s forum business program was held under the theme “SUSTAINING CONFIDENCE IN A WORLD UNDERGOING TRANSFORMATION”, and more than 500 speakers took part in 82 interactive sessions. Kkey themes focused on how to restore business confidence in the global economy, and what governments and business should do to mitigate risks and promote sustainable development. The SPIEF 2015 will continue until Saturday.
