MOSCOW, September 15 /TASS/. The CIS countries are planning to adopt a cooperation program, effective as of 2017 to 2019, for fighting terrorism and other violent manifestations of extremism at the forthcoming jubilee summit in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on September 16-17, Russian president’s aide Yuri Ushakov told journalists. He added that counter-terrorism struggle would be one of the summit’s key topics. "Terrorism will be a theme for a special discussion. This is one of the key topics, which will be discussed closely and in detail at a session to be held behind the closed doors," Ushakov explained. During the summit, the sides are planning to discuss and adopt a number of documents in the sphere of security and law enforcement to raise the efficiency of joint efforts designed to counter new international challenges and threats. Apart from the counter-terrorism cooperation program, the CIS (the Commonwealth of Independent States) intends to adopt a program of fighting against crimes committed with the use of information technologies, which will be effective as of 2016 to 2020.
