Cleric Urges Presidential Hopefuls To Be Committed To Their Pledges

Tehran, May 25, IRNA – Tehranˈs substitute Friday Prayers Leader Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Movahedi Kermani said that presidential candidates should be committed to their pledges to people. Ayatollah Movahedi Kermani said that participation in presidential election is the most important recommendation of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei. On international developments, the ayatollah referred to disgraceful acts of Buddhists in Myanmar in killing Muslims and the Thai government negligence of the criminal acts. On Syria, he expressed pleasure with Syrian army new successes. On Bahrain, the ayatollah condemned attack against house of Ayatollah Isa Qassem in Manama. The Tehran substitute Friday prayers leader also commemorated anniversary of liberation of Khorramshahr port city, in Khuzestan province during the imposed war with Iraq, and felicitated birthday of Imam Ali, the first Imam of Shia Muslims./end
