Cmdr. Suleimani sheds light on regional situation

TEHRAN, Apr. 29 (MNA) – Head of the Followers of the Leader (Rahrovan-e Velayat) Parliamentary Faction said Major General Qasem Suleimani provided a comprehensive analysis of the situation in the region, including Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Yemen and Lebanon. In an interview to ICANA News Agency, Kazem Jalali addressed the issues discussed during a meeting of the Followers of the Leader Parliamentary Faction on Tuesday. Jalali said the meeting was attended by Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani, the Commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Qasem Suleimani and some members of Followers of the Leader Faction. During the meeting, Jalali said, General Suleimani presented inclusive analyses on the regional issues. “Undoubtedly the only country which sincerely moved towards combating terrorism is Islamic Republic of Iran,” Jalali said, criticizing those who failed to achieve the least success with the grandiose title of ‘coalition’ against ISIL. Jalali reiterated that Iran would always move toward the preservation of peace and stability in the region as well as the fight against terrorism and the protection of innocent people which could eventually turn into a kind of balance and stability in the region.
