Commander: Any Fantasy Of Attacking Iran Will Cost Enemies Dearly

Tehran, April 16, IRNA – Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Army Major General Ataollah Salehi said any fantasy of attacking Iran will cost enemies dearly. In a statement issued on the threshold of Army Day, April 18, the commander voiced full readiness of the army to confront any probable threats. He reiterated that the army is enjoying such a full readiness that any kind of fantasy on the part of enemies to attack Iran would cost them irreparable damage. The commander said that the Iranian army is vigilantly monitoring all developments both in and out of the region and is rock-solid in defending the country and foiling plots. Referring to the invaluable experience of the eight-year Iraqi imposed war against Iran, he underlined that the enemiesˈ threats will have no effect on strong will of the army to defend the nation./end
